To begin, the first step in any makeover is to start with the rug.
It grounds the space. A gorgeous rug was brought in, which inspired the entire color palette.
It is, honestly, the most beautiful rug ever seen. The plan is to have a king bed, two nightstands, and curtains. On the side, there will be a big mirror with a little poof. This will allow one to sit down and get ready. On the wall, there will be a big dresser with a beautiful mirror on top.
The next order of business is building the bed. A beautiful white bed was ordered. Everything will be linked below. The bed was built, put in place, and it looks wonderful.
Nightstands and Mattress
Nightstands will go on either side. The warm color will really complement the cool tones in this room.
Before going any further in decorating, open up the mattress and lay it flat. It takes about 48 hours for it to puff up. By the end of the night, this mattress was filled up. It was then possible to finish styling this bed.
Curtain Selection
The curtains were the only things already available. The color of the darker panels matched so well with the rug. It couldn’t be any more perfect.
On the two nightstands, glass lamps were added. They were found on Facebook Marketplace, so shop your local Facebook Marketplace for some beautiful cheap pieces. These lamps are large enough to ground this whole nightstand. These nightstands don’t really need anything else but this lamp, which is all about simplicity.
Creating a Dressing Area
In this corner of the room, a dressing area was created. A mirror was brought in, as well as a large poof. It’s like an area to put on your socks and make sure your outfit is good to go before heading out the door.
Now, a six-drawer dresser is being brought in. It took quite a bit of time to build. After it was finished, a big round mirror was hung right above the dresser to create a beautiful focal point on this wall.
The mattress has finally had time to puff up to its size. Brand new sheets were put on this bed, as well as this beautiful white quilt. This bed will be styled very simply with just a few touches.
Adding Color and Texture
Three of these large gyro pillows were brought in. This blue is going to tie in those blue panels on the wall, as well as the rug. To completely tie it all together, a blue throw will be added across the bed.
Now, on to styling this side of the room. An Olive Tree was brought in to bring in a little bit of life into this corner.
This little poof was lacking coziness. The same color of blue that was used on the bed was brought in, as well as a throw blanket. This would be a very cozy place to sit and read a book.
To style this dresser, keep it simple. A glass vase was brought in to tie in those glass lamps that are on the nightstands, as well as these stems. Spring is right around the corner, so what a better way to celebrate than white flowers? A couple picture frames and candles will be brought in to really cozy up this corner.
Final Touches for a Stunning Bedroom Makeover
After hours and hours of working, this is how the bedroom came out.
This right here is obviously the focal wall, the main wall. There is a king bed over here. It was decided to do a little bit of pops of blue, which is a little bit out of the ordinary. But this rug inspired it all. This rug is so gorgeous. Going off of this rug, it was decided to add a navy blue blanket, some throws, as well as some curtains. Thrifted lamps were added that were found, and they just look so glamorous.
On this side, there is a long mirror. Here, you can check your outfits for the day. There’s a big ottoman right here where you can sit down, put your socks on, your shoes, your slippers, or whatever you want to do. There is a beautiful Olive Tree here in the corner. The reflection in the mirror is gorgeous. We have this large Circle mirror, styled very simply over here, and then there is this beautiful dresser. On this side, there is a closet system that goes all the way from wall to wall, which is amazing and provides lots of extra storage.
